Featured Speaker Bio:


Mohan Gopalakrishnan (“Dr. G”) is the current Chair and a research professor in the Supply Chain Management Department (SCM) at W.P. Carey School of BusinessArizona State University (ASU).  US News and World Report (2019) have ranked the SCM program second in the country.  He is also the board member of CAPSRESEARCH (an international research consortium of purchasing executives).  He has also held leadership positions in MBA and Executive MBA and is the founding member of supply chain executive consortium (SCEC) in ASU.

  

Dr. G’s research interests center on effectiveness and efficiency issues in operations and supply chain management, and the transformative role of technology and analytics in this domain.  He has published his work in the leading journals, including Management Science, Interfaces, Journal of Supply Chain Management, and Journal of Business Logistics among others. A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. G has been involved with global comparative studies on health care supply chain effectiveness.  


Dr. G has led applied research projects with firms like Aerojet-Teledyne, American Express, James River Corporation, MARS Foods, HonorHealth, Mayo Clinic and PETsMART on issues related to operations and supply chain management.  He is also on the editorial boards of research journals such as Journal of Business Logistics, Asia-Pacific Case research, IIE-Transactions on Healthcare Engineering, and International Journal of Production, Planning and Control. Dr. G holds a BS in Production Engineering from India and an MS in Industrial Engineering and a Ph. D. in Management Science from University of Alabama.  His industrial work experience is in the automotive sector.
